Founded in 2013 by Josh & Kristin Mohagen as Terroir Chocolate, we are driven by a love for the many complex flavors found within cocoa beans. Our dedication has earned us international awards, which is something to be proud of but not the reason we continue to do what we do. We truly love making chocolate, and more than that, we’ve seen how something as simple as chocolate brings people together in moments of joy!
In 2023, we embraced our Norwegian heritage, renaming ourselves Sted, meaning "Place," recognizing our commitment to Honor Place, Create Connection, and Celebrate Taste in everything we make.
At Sted, we treasure both the land that blesses us with real, delicious ingredients and the customers who enjoy our creations. Our passionate team, mostly made up of remarkable women, takes immense pride in every aspect of our craft. From sourcing to roasting to tempering to packaging, we value the journey as much as the destination.
